About Our Hearing Center

Center for Hearing was founded on the premise that patients are individuals with unique personalities and needs that as audiologists is our focus and concern. We strive to provide consistent professional care where each individual who comes through our doors knows they are valued and will be treated with respect and dignity. It is our goal that each patient walks away better educated about their hearing healthcare and have the satisfaction that all questions were addressed. We believe that better informed patients will make better hearing healthcare choices. We encourage open communication with our patients and believe that a sense of humor makes this a better world.

Center for Hearing was established in 1988 by Dr. Peggy O’Neill, Au.D, CCC-A. Dr. O’Neill worked in a hospital/rehabilitation based program prior to starting her own practice. She felt that it was important for patients to have easy access to excellent services without having to be seen in a medical center. Center for Hearing was established in Clifton Park, New York in 1988 and a second office was added in Niskayuna, New York in 2003. Both offices are staffed by licensed audiologists and professional administrative personnel who have all worked in this field for many years.

We are accustomed to working with a variety of patients and pride ourselves on our expertise in diagnostic testing and hearing aid selection and fitting. Counseling about hearing loss and the use of hearing aids is a large component of our practice. We know how to assist patients in making the best choices for better hearing and then instilling the confidence and knowledge to be successful. Our ongoing success is due to our dedication to our patients and the respect and trust we have built in the communities that we serve.
