Dr. Peggy O’Neill, Au.D., CCC-A, F-AAA
Dr. O’Neill is a licensed Audiologist who has been actively practicing in the field of audiology and hearing aid dispensing for over 30 years. She has had unique opportunities to work in a variety of settings and with a wide range of patients making her a very much respected and sought after professional in the Capital District. She received her undergraduate training from the State University College at Fredonia, NY leading her to NYS permanent teaching certification in Speech and Hearing and in Elementary Education. She worked as Lead Teacher in a Specialized Preschool Program and then as a Speech and Language Therapist in Halifax, VA and in Buffalo, New York before pursuing her Masters Degree in Audiology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Upon completing her degree she relocated to the Capital District and was employed as an Audiologist for several years at Sunnyview Hospital in Schenectady, NY. It was during this time that she decided that pursuing a private practice in Audiology seemed like the next professional step. She opened Center for Hearing in Clifton Park, New York in 1988 and has never looked back. The practice has shown consistent growth and a second office was opened in Niskayuna, New York providing the same consistent quality care as the original office. Dr. O’Neill received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida-Gainesville in 2003 and continues to strive for professional and personal expertise through ongoing continuing education. She thoughtfully and with great care brings this to her patients each day. Outside the office, Dr. O’Neill enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, playing golf, enjoying the outdoors and has been a longtime volunteer at Proctors Theater in Schenectady.
